okay, i can totally do Borra. All day, urry day.

Bolin had never really tested his strength before. He knew he was strong, but he never tried to push himself to his limits. And carrying Korra (who wasn’t heavy by any means, just… sleepy), he could feel his muscles starting to ache. Of course he has been carrying her around for the better portion of an hour.
Finally arriving at one of the boats to take them back to air temple island, he sat he laid he down, then sinking himself next to her. Even if he hadn’t been carring her, he still would have been tired.
They did have an eventful day. With Mako being gone to train for The United Forces, him and Korra had drifted closer and closer together over the past few weeks, and today, they had reason to celebrate. Korra’s birthday was today, and Bolin had quite the party for her, even if it was just the two of them.
They went and saw professional Earthbenders preform, they played in the fountain in the center of the city, they went dancing, had dinner, and saw a new play that came out about a mobster trying to repent for his evil ways, by doing evil so other people could be the hero.
Don’t think anyting less of the play, it was fantastic, but the whole day had been so tiring that Korra just fell aasleep halfway through it. Bolin was now taking her home after leaving the play early so they could beat the crowd out.
It was a day he surely would remember, but he would have traded the entire thing for what he was doing right now. Staring. Staring at her, specifically. Staring at her eyelashes, how long and luminous they were against her brown skin. How her hair, at evdry trist, twirl, and the occasional knot, looked amazing. How the moon, being amplified by the waters of Yue Bay made her look like she was from the spirit world. It was a breathtaking sight, one he would cherish forever.
The only thing that kept him grounded to earth was the fact that she was breathing. The movements of her body made him know that she was a real person. A living, breathing, wonderful, beautiful, amazing-est girl he had ever seen. No one could even compare to her.
Korra’s body let out a small shiver, and Bolin, being the gentlemen that he is, took off his coat and wrapped it around her. Like it was instinct, she snuggled into it, and snuggled against Bolin as well.
Smiling, he bent his neck down and kissed her head.
“Happy Birthday, Korra.”
